We recently had an incredibly insightful interview with legendary trader and Market Wizard Linda Bradford Raschke, and one of the most popular parts of our conversation was her discussion of the books that shaped her trading career.
Linda has been trading for more than 45 years, and when someone with that much experience tells you which books are worth reading, it's worth paying attention.
So many of you asked for her reading list that we decided to put together all the books she mentioned during our interview, along with a few of her personal comments on why they stand out.

In the interview, Linda shares insights on market structure, institutional order flow, false breakouts, risk management, and the trading principles that have guided her throughout her career.
Linda Raschke's Favorite Trading Books

1.Trading Sardines: Linda Bradford Raschke
Linda's own book, filled with stories, lessons, and insights from decades of trading the markets.

2.Treasury of Wall Street Wisdom:Harry Schultz
A collection of timeless market wisdom that Linda highlighted during our conversation. Unfortunately, this one is no longer readily available.

3.Markets in Profile: Profiting from the Auction Process: James F. Dalton
Linda specifically recommended reading the first 20 pages. A great starting point for understanding the auction process and how markets behave.

4.Mind Over Markets: Power Trading with Market Generated Information: James F. Dalton
Another Dalton favorite that explores market-generated information, market structure, and understanding price through the auction process.

5.Techniques of a Professional Commodity Chart Analyst:ArthurSklarew
Linda had particularly high praise for this one, calling it the best book she's ever found on price targets and projections.
That's quite an endorsement from someone who's spent 45 years studying charts!

6.The Taylor Trading Technique: George Douglass Taylor
A classic trading book focused on short-term market behavior and recurring patterns. Linda also highlighted the seasonal plays in the back of the book as something worth studying.
A Few More Recommendations from Linda
Linda's interests go beyond traditional technical analysis.
Linda is a big fan of Steven Kotler's work on flow states and peak performance. His research explores how people reach their highest levels of focus and performance, something every trader can benefit from.
Linda also spoke positively about Qullamaggie, a trader known for his momentum and breakout trading approach.
Want Linda's Complete Reading List?
These are the books and resources Linda specifically discussed during our interview, but her recommended reading list is much longer.
She's put together a collection of her favorite books on trading, technical analysis, market psychology, and more.
One of my biggest takeaways from our conversation was how much Linda values the fundamentals of trading: understanding price behavior, market structure, and risk management.
Markets change, technology evolves, and new indicators come and go. But many of the principles in these books have stood the test of time.
